“Tale of the Sea” competing in Russia East & West filmfest
TEHRAN – “Tale of the Sea”, a psychodrama by Iranian director Bahman Farmanara, is competing in the East & West Classic and Avant-Garde International Film Festival, which is currently underway in Russia’s Orenburg region, the organizers have announced.
The film is competing in the official section with movies from Slovenia, Poland, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Russia and several other countries.
“Tale of the Sea” centers on a writer who witnesses a brutal murder and spends three years in a mental institution but after release, things are not as the writer thinks.
Over 70 are competing in the event, which opened on August 24 and will be running until August 30.
